(www.michigan.gov/arts) Arts Equipment & Supplies Grant Offers Michigan K-12 schools grants of up to $1,500 to pay for arts equipment(including repairs of arts equipment) or supplies being used within the classroom/school setting. Grants are determined by independent panelists, based on demonstrated need and goals for implementation. Michigan K-12 teachers of any “arts” subject may apply for the grant, including: visual arts, vocal music, instrumental music, and dance. Grants are awarded on a reimbursement basis. Deadline Nov. (www.michiganyoutharts.org) Arts Trek Grant Offers Michigan K-12 schools grants of up to $500 to pay for transportation costs associated with an arts- and culture-related field trip. Grants are determined by independent panelists, based on demonstrated need and goals for implementation. Michigan K-12 teachers of any subject may apply for the grant. This is a reimbursement grant paid after field trip is completed and paid for. Only one Arts Trek grant will be given per school. Deadline Oct. (www.michiganyoutharts.org) Arts in Education Grant The AIE program is a competitive program that seeks to fund (up to $20,000) arts education school-based arts learning projects, designed to introduce or enhance student knowledge of and participation in a particular art form such as: dance, theatre, music, creative writing, storytelling, visual arts (including video, media arts and graphic design), or traditional folk arts. These projects connect with students and the world around them by exploring, sharing and supporting creative expression, and by doing so they promote the health and well-being of students and citizens throughout our state. (www.michigan.gov/arts) The Arts and Humanities Touring Grant Offers a directory of Michigan’s most talented artists and performers for organizations seeking professional arts and cultural programming. This grant is a one-stop resource to find and host high-quality performing and visual artists, and humanities presenters. Up to 40% or $3,000 of exhibitor/presenter fees and travel expenses.
