    Position Goal To instruct middle and high school students in the field of choral music and creating a safe and orderly learning environment.  Teacher will instruct two middle school choirs (TBD) and three high school choirs (Concert Choir, beginning mixed choir; Bella Voce, intermediate treble choir; and Aristocrats, advanced mixed choir) each day.  An accompanist is provided for the high school classes each day and for the middle school choirs one week prior to concerts.  Director motivates students to develop an interest in and an appreciation of the art of music.  Teacher develops knowledge, skills, and talents of students in the field of music, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques appropriate to students' interests and abilities. Apply at https://www.applitrack.com/sjcisd/onlineapp/default.aspx?choosedistrict=true&applitrackclient=38120&all=1  


    Must have Michigan Teacher endorsement in Music and demonstrate compliance as a "highly qualified teacher" as defined by the Michigan Department of Education Performance Responsibilities 

    1.  Adhere to the Master Agreement, district and buildings policies regarding attendance, business procedures, student discipline, safety and personal appearance. 

    2.  Maintain student records, student objectives and security/inventory of equipment and materials according to identified system.

     3.  Maintain confidentiality.

     4.  Use a written instructional plan and operate an organized program according to identified system.

     5.  Use a variety of teaching methods and provide positive reinforcement to students. 

    6.  Assist students in meeting objectives and in utilizing educational equipment, materials and resources. 

    7.  Other duties as assigned by the building principal. Terms of Employment Candidate will be employed by the Three Rivers Community Schools and is subject to their salary and conditions of employment as determined by the Board of Education.
